Meet Our Board
Sarah Sumner, Ph.D., MBA is the president of Right On Mission and its Vocational Seminary. Sarah is a theologian who works as a mission statement writer, a consultant, a professor, and a national and international speaker.
She is the author of four books: Men and Women in the Church (IVP, 2003), Leadership Above the Line (Tyndale, 2006), Just How Married Do You Want To Be? (IVP, 2008), and Angry Like Jesus: Using His Example To Spark Your Moral Courage (Fortress, 2015). She writes for Christianity Today and Relevant magazine and has contributed to many other books, including theological dictionaries. Her passion for Care Net stems from her love for babies and her heart for helping families follow Christ. Sarah brings a theological approach to the Care Net board and expertise in board development, policy development, and organizational health.
Donna Feamster has lived in Shasta County since 1974. She has had a well- rounded career in real estate, finance and hospital chaplaincy. Her most treasured role is being a mother to her four sons and a grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren who bring her endless joy. On account of the early death of her father and sister, Donna treasures life all the more. Her goal is to live each day to the fullest, serving God as He leads and wills. Donna has a rich history of serving at Care Net for over eight years doing fund development and volunteer work. She brings expertise from a ministry perspective as well as a business perspective. Along with her passion for writing, Donna loves the outdoors and country living.
Charity Reed Osorio
Charity Reed Osorio has worked Texas state political campaigns and in the Texas House of Representatives. She has also served in several nonprofits both domestically and internationally. She holds a degree in social science and history and is fluent in Spanish. She and her South American husband recently moved back to Redding after spending five years in Ecuador where they owned and operated small businesses, including the innovative language school that Charity still oversees. Charity is extremely passionate about women stepping into the fullness of what God had in mind when He created women. She believes that women carry the solution to many world problems and that the affront on women and their unborn babies marks one of the most crucial areas in which women need to be reminded of who they really are; bearers and protectors of life. Charity has a son and a new baby daughter soon to be born.
Cindy Willems is a Certified Public Accountant who has worked for over 32 years in both public accounting and private industry. Cindy was born and raised in Fresno and graduated from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Business Administration. Given her avid background in Bible Study Fellowship, she brings to the Pregnancy Center practical knowledge of Scripture as well as expertise in accounting and business practices.
Cindy moved to the North State in 1993 with her husband and two children. Her passion for saving babies grew substantially when her daughter was born prematurely at 28 weeks weighing just over 2 pounds. Cindy began volunteering at Care Net Nor Cal in 2015, filling in wherever needed. Her desire is to serve our community and share the love of Christ.
When Cindy is not working she enjoys quilting, reading and exploring the beauty of God's creation.
Rachel Jyothi was born and raised in South India, but ten years ago moved to the USA after marrying her husband who works locally in Redding. Her cultural exposure from living in different countries has shaped her understanding, especially regarding women & men. She is a small business owner and the mother of three young children. She has two earned Master's degrees: one in Biochemistry and one in Intellectual Leadership. She loves to merge molecular science with faith and reason, yet her mission is to get people to the place where they open themselves to God. Thus Rachel feels fully alive when she is helping others to find courage and to navigate their rough seas. She feels honored to serve the vulnerable in our community through the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Northern California.
